Mural to mark two year anniversary of The Foresters Arms

To commemorate the two year anniversary of the takeover of The Foresters ArmsWollaston, the Landlords have commissioned a mural painting by local artist Gary Marsden to brighten up the Gent's Toilets. When "spending a penny", the pub’s patrons' can now view the pub in a picturesque painting depicting a rural scene of woodlands. The mural contains a forester and his two dogs, based on the landlords' Dave and Trudie Evans' own dogs.

The mural was completed on Monday the 29th October and is believed to be the first pub in the area to contain its own mural. Regulars have endorsed the improvement with lady patrons of the pub now requesting a mural in their toilets.

The completed scene contains hidden items of interest which patrons are encouraged to find during their visits. These items include the Enville Ale logo, Famous Grouse logo and the Bacardi logo.

Bar staff Jamie, Roger and Matt have seen patrons taking photographs of the mural and even ladies visiting the Gent's discretely, to admire the painting.

Dave and Trudie Evans took over The Foresters ArmsWollaston in January 2011 and although the mural has been commissioned and completed three months before the anniversaries date, it still marks a successful two years for the pub.

In the current economic climate, with an estimated 18 pubs closing each week across the UK, that’s no easy task. Especially when the Black Country has been named amongst the worst areas of public house closures in the UK.
